Overview
Mega Evolution is one of Pokemon Lazarus's major late-game team-building systems. This guide tracks the v2.0 additions and confirmed balance changes so you can plan teams around the current release instead of older v1.0 assumptions.
v2.0 New Mega Evolutions
Pokemon Lazarus v2.0 added four new Mega Evolutions:
Mega Typhlosion
Mega Carracosta
Mega Aurorus
Mega TyrantrumThe v2.0 release also adds Mega Crabominable and Mega Golisopod from Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC content.
v2.0 Balance Changes
Confirmed v2.0 Mega-related changes:
Mega Raichu X is now Electric/Fighting.
Raichu can relearn Power-Up Punch, Fire Punch, and Thunder Punch as Level 1 moves through the Move Relearner in Pythios Town.
Mega Scrafty now has Filter.
Mega Greninja now has Protean, documented as working once per battle.
Mega Gogoat now has Stamina.
Mega Heliolisk is Electric/Fire with Drought.
Mega Centiskorch now has Tinted Lens.
Aurorus gained Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast access to support its Mega typing.Team Planning Notes
Build around weather carefully: Mega Heliolisk can enable sun teams, while Cherrim's v1.1 Flower Gift change also interacts with sun.
Re-check older Mega Greninja strategies; Protean no longer behaves like a repeated switch-in coverage tool.
Keep at least one flexible defensive answer for the new fossil Megas, especially if your team relies on Fire, Flying, or Electric pressure.Needs In-Game Verification
Stone locations, exact stat spreads, and gym leader usage for the new Mega forms should be verified in-game before adding exact tables.
